I am currently living in Orlando Florida and I am planning to purchase a vehicle in Pennsylvania. I do need to drive this vehicle back to Florida so I am wondering how do I get car insurance that would be able to be transferred from PA to FL?

First thing you have to do is to find out if you are allowed to directly put Florida car insurance on this new vehicle when you take possession of it or if you need PA insurance to pick it up and drive it home to Orlando Florida. The FL HSMV and PA DMV should be able to advise you regarding this situation of purchasing a car in one state to drive back to the state you reside in.

If you find out that you will need PA car insurance to drive the car home to Orlando, you can visit individual car insurance company websites to check where you can purchase your PA car insurance, however you will then need to buy new Florida insurance once you have reached FL. Some insurance providers will assist you change over or adjust the coverage from one state to the other if they are licensed to offer insurance policies both in PA and Florida.
