Reader’s Question:
I would like to know if a broken windshield covered under my car insurance policy deductible?

In most states you have to buy Comprehensive coverage that has Full Glass or Full Windshield Coverage in the deductible section. In some states do not offer this at all. In Florida it includes windshield coverage when Comprehensive coverage is bought regardless of the deductible option chosen. Under most situations your front windshield is covered if you have full insurance coverage.
The term full coverage typically includes collision and comprehensive coverage.
In some states, with full coverage you do not have a deductible for the front windshield, but all other windows are subject to the deductible.
If you only have liability insurance on your car you will have to pay out of your own pocket for the replacement of your windshield, since it is not covered by your car insurance policy.
